The 4th of July - Holiday
Independence Day is by far the busiest day of the year in the harbor. If you plan to enjoy the holiday in the harbor here are a few tips.
- - Plan ahead and bring supplies prior to the event.
- - Arrive early and stay put. If you leave your parking space, it likely won't be there when you get back.
- - Security guards and Marina staff will be present at each gate to prevent misuse and close lots when full.
- - Campers, RV's, and trailers are prohibited and will be towed.
- - Fireworks on the dock are a serious fire hazard and violations will be taken very seriously.
- - Parking lots and roads into the harbor will be closed by Dana Point Police Services prior to the fireworks.
- - Be respectful of your neighbors and be patient.
- - Please no water balloons. They can be harmful to birds.

4th of July - Special Notices
- - OC Dana Point Harbor Department will make more parking available for boaters this holiday by eliminating Catalina Express parking in the East Basin Cove side parking lot.
- Due to the strain on parking resources, we ask that each boat owner endeavor to limit the number of cars in lots on July 4th. If possible, to only one (1)vehicle per slip. Dana Point Harbor has some of the best parking of any marina on the West coast. However, we still anticipate that marina parking lots will fill to capacity on the holiday weekend.
- Given that the holiday falls on Sunday, it is anticipated that marina parking lots will be nearly full on Saturday, July 3rd. Please plan accordingly.
