Dana Point Festival of Whales
It's whale season again in Southern California, and Dana Point is one of the best places to view these graceful beauties of the deep. Already this season Dana Point has seen Grey Whales, Fin Whales, Humpback Whales, Minke Whales, Blue Whales and Killer Whales. Please take the time to enjoy this special treasure that is right in our back yard!
If you haven't been to the Dana Point Whale Festival for a while, you are in for a nice surprise! Last year was the most successful and well attended Festival of Whales yet, and this year plans to be even better. The festival will be held on the weekends of :
March 3rd & 4th
March 10th & 11th

Environmental Reminders
- Make sure to include an oil absorbent pad in your bilge to prevent inadvertently pumping oil or fuel into the harbor. Pads and their disposal are available at the Marina office and are free to boaters.
- Make sure the dock around your vessel is clean and clear of any trash or debris. If you notice any significant issues, please contact the Marina office for immediate response.
- Dana Point Harbor provides many free recycling services. Glass, paper, aluminum, and plastic can be disposed of at each trash room's recycling receptacle. We also provide receyling/proper disposal of oil, ATF, coolant, oil and fuel filters, absorbent bilge pads and marine batteries. Contact the Marina office for details.
The Waning Winter
It's hard to believe that winter is nearly over...particularly since the weather has been absolutely fantastic these past six weeks! It's no wonder that we have so many resorts in South Orange County. Make it a point to visit the Harbor more often...you and your family deserve it!
